2022 Harley-Davidson Low Rider S and ST Revealed

– 2022 Low Rider S gets bigger engine

– Low Rider ST gets a dredge-like styling

– Can be launched in India

Harley-Davidson has unveiled the 2022 Low Rider S and has also taken the wraps off the Low Rider ST, which is based on the former, but with some cosmetic changes.

Let’s start with the Low Rider S that was available in India in 2020. For the new model year, the bike’s design has remained largely unchanged, except for the fuel tank-mounted instrument panel which it now lacks for a cleaner look. The rest of the Low Rider with its low stance and darkened look remains the same. However, under its body is a Milwaukee 117 engine that is newer and larger than the previous 114 mill.

This engine is also used on the Low Rider ST and produces 104 hp and 170 Nm. Interestingly, this is the same engine used on the Street Glide and Road Glide that we tested recently. Now the Harley-Davidson Low Rider ST gets bagger-esque styling with a batwing fairing and a pair of hardcase cases. On the front, the Low Rider S and ST are missing, they only offer a semi-digital cluster or an LCD on the ST, dual-channel ABS and a USB charging port. On the other hand, its rival, the Indian Chief Dark Horse, is packed with features such as a TFT display with connectivity, riding modes and traction control.

While the two motorcycles will be available in international markets in March, we can expect Harley-Davidson to launch the Low Rider S and LOW Rider ST in India sometime in the first half of this year.
