Apart from Mumbai, the electric scooter is available in Aurangabad, Pune, Nagpur and Nashik in Maharashtra state. As in other cities, the electric scooter will be available in two variants in Mumbai: Urbane and Premium. Both variants are powered by a 3.8 kW motor that is powered by a non-removable 3 kWh IP67 lithium-ion battery. The company claims a top speed of 70 km/h and a range of 95 km (in Eco mode).
The booking, once opened, should be available for a token amount of Rs 2,000. Bajaj plans to offer the Chetak electric scooter in 22 new cities by 2022.
