Domestic sales of the Bajaj Pulsar series fell by 32.54 percent in February 2022

For Bajaj, the Pulsar series has always boosted sales. Current performance leaves a lot to be desired. This isn’t just Pulsar’s predicament, though. The motorcycle segment has generally seen a decline in volume in recent days.

Total annual domestic sales of Pulsar decreased to 54,951 units from 81,454 units. Volume loss was 26,503 units, a decrease of 32.54 percent. MoM sales fell from 66,839 units. With a drop of 17.79 percent, the volume loss is reported at 11,888 units.

Sales of the Pulsar 125 fell to 30,000 units, from 39,323 units. Volume loss was 9,317 units, down 23.69 percent. MoM sales fell from 44,181 units to a 32 percent drop. Volume loss is 14,175 units. Sales of the Pulsar 150cc fell to 17,804 units from 25,550 units. With a drop of 30.32 percent, the volume loss stands at 7,746 units. MoM sales are up from 11,239 units with a growth of 58.41 percent. Volume gain is 6,565 units.

Pulsar’s range of 160/180/200 sales fell to just 4,666 units from 11,643 units. On a 60 percent drop, the volume loss was just under 7k units. MoM sales fell from 5,407 units to a volume loss of just under 750 units. Sales of the 220F and 250 halved to 2,475 units from 4,938 units. The volume loss amounted to 2,463 units. MoM sales fell from 6,000 units to a drop of 58.83 percent.

Bajaj Pulsar Exports February 2022 Breakup

Exports also fell, but nowhere as sharply as the decline in domestic sales. At 26,143 units, a decline of 15.29 percent is reported. Sales decreased from 30,863 units to a volume loss of 4,720 units. MoM’s exports fell from 31,410 units. The volume loss was just over 5.2 thousand units with a decrease of 16.77 percent.

The Pulsar 160/180/200 segment’s exports are at 13,518 units, down from 14,689 units. Volume loss is reported at 1,171 units with a 7.97 percent decline. MoM sales declined slightly from 13,684 units. The export of Pulsar 150 decreased from 10,698 to 7,788 units. The volume loss was 2.9k units. MoM decline is close to 1.1k units down from 8,874 units.

The export of Pulsar 125 decreased from 4,644 pieces to 4,065 pieces. MoM sales fell from 4,628 units to a volume loss of 563 units. Volume loss is reported at 579 units. The sales decline from 220F/250 yoy is marginal, to 772 units from 832 units. MoM’s exports fell to a fifth, from 4,224 units. Volume loss is reported at 3,452 units.

Total sales of Bajaj Pulsar in February ’22

Pulsar’s total revenue in February 2022 fell by a quarter. Down to 81,094 units from 1,12317 units. Volume loss is reported at 31,223 units with a drop of 27.80 percent. MoM’s total sales of Pulsar fell from 98,249 units with a drop of 17.46 percent. Volume loss is reported at 17,155 units.

Sales of the Pulsar 125 have fallen to 24,071 units, from 43,967 units. Volume loss is reported at 9,896 units. Sales of the Pulsar 150 fell to 25,592 units from 36,248 units. Volume loss was 10,656 units, down 29.40 percent. MoM’s total sales have increased from 20,113 units. Sales growth was 27.24 percent on a volume gain of 5,479 units.

160/180/200 sales fell 31 percent to 18,184 units. The volume loss is 8,148 units, down from 26,332 units. MoM volume loss was 907 units, down from 19,091 units. Sales of 220F/250 fell to 3,247 units, down 43.73 percent. The volume loss is reported at 2,523 units as against 5,770 units. MoM sales fell from 10,236 units to a staggering volume loss of 6,989 units.
