BMW Motorrad is working on creating a motorcycle seat that can be adjusted to the rider’s comfort. This development was revealed by some patent drawings.

According to these leaked drawings, the German motorcycle brand has made a sideways adjustable seat. For years we have seen chairs that are adjustable in height. But this is the first time the brand has made a chair that focuses more on seat width.

This invention is primarily aimed at riders with a larger structure. This seat is divided into three parts – the front part is locked to the rear of the fuel tank and the other two parts can be moved out separately. The rear parts can be adjusted individually and then locked once the correct placement is selected.

This new invention will undoubtedly make motorcycling a lot more comfortable for many riders. We can expect BMW to introduce this product in the next generation R1250GS – their best adventure touring motorcycle.
