Yamaha’s domestic sales rose 14.05 percent, while exports fell 3.32 percent year-on-year
Yamaha Motor India recorded an increase in domestic sales with double digit growth on both an annual and monthly basis. Exports, on the other hand, declined year-on-year, but increased in MoM shipments.
Domestic sales in December 2021 were 44,736 units, up 14.05 percent from 39,224 units sold in December 2020. MoM sales were up 13.81 percent from 39,309 units sold in November 2021.
December 2021 Yamaha Sales Breakdown – FZ Leads
It was the Yamaha FZ that topped the sales charts with 19,790 units sold last month, up 39.75 percent from 14,161 units sold in December 2020. MoM sales rose even more significantly at 159.58 percent over the previous month. the 7,624 units sold in November 2021. Share of business lineup rose from 19.40 percent in November 2021 to 44.24 percent last month.
#2 was R15 with 8,952 units sold last month, up 63.63 percent from 5,471 units sold in December 2021. MoM sales also increased 6.67 percent from 8,392 units sold in November 2021. Earlier this month, Yamaha revised prices for YZF-R15 V4. This is the third price increase since its September 2021 launch. The base price of Yamaha R15 V4 is now Rs.1,72,800.
Yamaha Fascino sales also increased 36.81 percent year-over-year to 8,455 units, compared to 6,180 units sold in December 2020. MoM sales were 3.01 percent higher than 8,208 units sold in November 2021. sales fell from 20.88 percent in November 2021 to 18.90 percent in the past month. These were the only 3 models to show both a year-over-year and month-on-month increase in sales, while Yamaha RayZR, MT15 and FZ25 sales dropped significantly.
Yamaha RayZR sales fell 33.48 percent year-on-year and 53.17 percent MoM to 5,781 units. Sales of the MT15 fell 59.87 percent year-over-year to 1,756 units, compared to 4,376 units sold in December 2020, while sales fell 35.61 percent from 2,727 units sold in November 2021, according to the MoM. sales of the Yamaha FZ25 fell even more sharply at 99.42 percent yoy to just 2 units last month from 346 units sold in December 2020 and down 85.71 percent MoM from 14 units sold in November 2021.
Yamaha Export December 2021
Yamaha FZ was also a bestseller in the world markets for the past month. Sales were 10,297 units in December 2021, an increase of 22.77 percent from 8,387 units sold in December 2020. MoM sales increased 9.24 percent from 9,426 units sold in November 2021.
Yamaha FZ was the only bike to see sales above 10,000 units, with every other model not exceeding sales of even 3,000 units. #2 was Yamaha Crux with 2,830 units exported last month. Exports of Yamaha Ray ZR (2,558), FZ25 (1,518) and SZ (1,320 units) fell year on year, while exports of FZ25 increased by 590 percent, compared to 220 units shipped in November 2021. demand in world markets.
