Kawasaki Unveils 2022 Versys-X 250 for Japan

– Now comes in two new color options

– To reach dealers in February 2022

Kawasaki’s smallest adventure motorcycle, the Versys-X 250, has been updated for the 2022 model year in Japan. The bike will be available in two new color options: Candy Lime Green with Metallic Flat Spark Black and Metallic Ocean Blue with Pearl Robotic White. It is planned to reach dealers in Japan from February 2022.

With the 2022 Versys-X250, Kawasaki supplies some adventure-oriented components as standard that were not available in the previous edition. These goodies include 17 liter metal cases on both sides, an engine guard, a center stand and a power outlet. The bike remains unchanged on all other fronts.

The Versys-X 250 is powered by a 249cc, 180-degree, liquid-cooled parallel-twin engine that would serve in the previous-generation Ninja 250. This unit pumps out approximately 33 horsepower at 11,500 rpm and is mated to a six- gear box. The motorcycle rides on a 19-17-inch spoked wheel combination shod with dual-purpose rubbers and is suspended from 130mm telescopic forks at the front and a link-type monoshock at the rear. Braking is provided by a single disc at both ends.

In case you are curious, Kawasaki will not be launching the Versys-X250 in India. The Japanese bicycle maker sold the Versys X-300 to our shores, but it was discontinued a long time ago.
