KTM India reports decline in domestic sales and exports for January 2022
Total KTM sales in January 2022 are reported at 8,857 units. That’s a 21 percent MoM drop, down 11,205 units. The volume loss amounted to 2,348 units. The year-over-year decline was nearly 35 percent, down from 13,591 units.
Sale KTM India, Export January 2022 – KTM 200 (RC + Duke)
It is the KTM 200 (Duke + RC) that has contributed to the bulk of the volume, both domestically and exports. Total sales are reported at 4.1k units. Sales in the domestic market were 2.4k units and in the export market the numbers were 1.7k units.
Sales for KTM 200 units were more or less flat year on year. In January ’21, sales of 4.2k units were reported. The decrease in turnover amounted to 2.54 percent. MoM’s sales improvement was much more noticeable. Sales increased from about 2.8 thousand units with a growth of 48 percent. The volume gain was 1,335 units.
Annual domestic sales for January 2022 decreased from 6,777 to 4,640 units. The volume loss was 2,137 units. The sales decline is reported at 31.53 percent. Exports fell to 4,217 units from 6,814 units. Volume loss was nearly 2.6k units on a drop of 38.11 percent.
MoM domestic sales growth is reported at just under 30 percent. Sales are up from 3,591 units with a volume gain of over a thousand units. MoM exports fell from 7,614 units on a volume loss of nearly 3.4k units. The sales decline is reported at 44.62 percent.
KTM 250 (Duke + ADV) Sales, Export – January 2022
Total KTM 250 sales last month were reported at 2.5k units. Growth is reported at 30.42 percent, up from 1,936 units. Volume growth was 589 units. MoM growth was 34.59 percent. Sales increased from 1,876 units with volume growth of 649 units. Domestic sales accounted for 1,223 units of total sales versus 909 units.
Volume growth was 314 units, with sales growth of 34.54 percent. MoM domestic sales growth for the 250 was similar to the YoY numbers. Exports amounted to 1,223 units, compared to 560 units. Volume growth was 663 units. MoM loos came in at 5.38 percent. Sales fell from 1,376 units on a volume loss of less than 100 units.
KTM 390 (RC + Duke + ADV) Sales, Export – January 2022
KTM’s mid-sized 390 got a significant sales boost. Sales fell to 1,448 units, from just under 4.1k units. The volume loss was 2,628 units, a decrease of more than two-thirds. Domestic sales were 241 units, compared to 722 units year on year.
Exports fell to 1.2k units, down from just under 2.4k units. The volume loss amounted to 2,188 units. MoM’s domestic sales growth was reported at just over 50 percent, up from 159 units. MoM’s exports fell by almost two-thirds.
KTM 125 (RC + Duke) Sale, Export – January 2022
Total KTM 125 sales fell to 778 units, from over 3.3k units. The decrease was 76.89 percent. The volume loss was 2,588 units. MoM decline was in similar area. Domestic sales for KTM 125 were down from 2,516 units, down nearly 70 percent.
The volume loss amounted to 1,738 units. Exports fell from 850 pieces to zero. MoM domestic sales decline for KTM 125 was 21.26 percent on a volume loss of 210 units. MoM exports for KTM 125 dropped from just over 2k units.
