Royal Enfield reports drop in domestic sales in February 2022, export profit – Classic 350 leads in sales, 650 Twins in export
Royal Enfield’s domestic sales for February 2022 are down 20 percent. Sales fell to 52,135 units from 65,114 units. Volume loss is reported at 13,000 units with a 19.93 percent decline. MoM sales improved 4.84 percent, up 49,726 units on a volume increase of 2.4k units. Improving export volume was not enough to push overall sales to green.
Royal Enfield Sales Breakup February 2022 – Classic Leads
Of these, the Classic 350 leads with 30,082 units. Sales are down 36,025 units on a volume loss of 5,943 units on a 16.50 percent decline. Classic sales accounted for 57.70 percent of the company’s turnover in the domestic market. MoM sales are up from 26,775 units with a growth of 12.35 percent. Volume gain was 3.3k units.
Sales of Meteor 350 also fell a fifth, down 6,749 units from 8,624 units. The sales decline is 21.74 percent on a volume loss of 1,875 units. MoM decline is reported at 20.22 percent, down from 8,460 units. Volume loss is 1,711 units.
Bullet 350 sales fell to 6,432 units, from just over 11,000 units. Volume loss stands at 4,612 units on a 41.76 percent decline. MoM sales fell 12.54 percent from 7,354 units. The volume loss was 922 units. Electra 350 sales fell to 3,426 units from 6,477 units. The volume loss was just over 3k units. MoM sales growth is reported at 29.23 percent, up from 2,651 units. The volume gain is 775 units.
Himalayan sales improved marginally by nearly 3k units, up 2660 units on a volume gain of 317 units. MoM sales are down from 3,248 units down 8.34 percent. The sales growth of the 650 Twins is the most convincing with 2,469 units, versus 284 units. MoM sales doubled, from 1,238 units on a volume gain of 1,231 units.
Royal Enfield Exports Breakup February 2022
Year-over-year exports improved 54.57 percent, up about 7,000 units from 4,545 units. The volume gain was 2,480 units. MoM exports fell 22.90 percent from 9,112 units. The volume loss amounted to 2,087 units.
650 Twins sit atop the export table with 2,183 units, an increase of 927 units. The volume gain was 1,256 units. The Twins accounted for 31.07 percent of corporate exports last month. MoM exports fell from 3,716 units down 41.25 percent. The volume loss was just over 1.5k units.
Himalayan exports have increased by more than 2k units from 1,151 units. The volume gain was 896 units. MoM exports nearly doubled, from 1,050 units on a volume increase of 997 units. Exports of the classic 350 fell slightly to 6.85 percent, from 1,563 units to 1,456 units. The volume loss was 107 units. MoM exports fell from 2,042 units to a volume loss of 586 units. Meteor 350 exports more than doubled to 1,339 units, up from 620 units. The volume gain was 719 units. Mom exports fell from 2.3k units on a volume loss of 965 units.
