Royal Enfield Scram 411 spied on during road test

– Looked ready for production

– The launch in India could be in February 2022

Royal Enfield’s upcoming scrambler, the Scram 411, has been spied again in testing. Interestingly, the recently spotted test mule looked thoroughly production-ready, suggesting that the official launch is just around the corner.

As we know, the Scram 411 is largely based on the existing Himalayan adventure motorcycle. There are subtle differences, though, such as a new headlamp nacelle, a small plastic cover under the fuel tank, a one-piece saddle and a handlebar shorter than the Himalaya’s. The sighted test mule graced a black and gray two-tone body paint that is also available in the Himalayas.

The biggest change in the Scram 411 from its existing counterpart is the front wheel size. Unlike the large 21-inch spoked wheel in the Himalayas, the Scram has a smaller 19-inch unit. The rear, however, continues to ride on a 17-inch spoked wheel. While the engine is also expected to remain the same single-cylinder unit of 24.3 hp and 411 cc, gear ratios may be different to suit the purpose.

The Royal Enfield Scram 411 is likely to be officially launched in February 2022 with a price tag of around Rs 1.90 lakh (ex-showroom).
