Top 10 Two-Wheeler Sales in December 2021 Reported with Cumulative Decline; 4 two-wheelers reported with growth

Cumulative sales of the top 10 two-wheelers sold in December 2021 are reported at 7,29,938 units. The sales decline is reported at 7.52 percent, down from 7,89,256 units. The total volume loss is pegged at just under 60k units.

Top 10 two-wheelers December 2021 – Splendor Leads

Sales of Hero Splendor continue to dominate the market with sales last month of 2,26,759 units. Sales growth was 16.33 percent, up from 1,94,930 units. Volume gain is only 322k units. Splendor’s market share of the top order is phenomenal at 31.07 percent.

Honda Activa, the country’s best-selling scooter, maintained second place despite a 22.12 percent drop in sales. Sales fell to 1,04,417 units from 1,34,077 units. Volume decline is reported at 29,660 units. The scooter’s market share was in the top 10 at 14.30 percent.

The sales decline of Hero HF Deluxe was steep at 41.15 percent. Sales fell to 83,080 units, down from 1,41,168 units. The volume loss amounted to a whopping 58k units. A year earlier, HF Deluxe’s ​​sales were even better than Activa’s. This was rare as Honda Activa has a stronghold in the second top order position. However, due to the decline in Deluxe’s ​​sales, the motorcycle is back in 3rd place.

Honda CB Shine sales growth is reported at 21.53 percent. Sales are up 68k units, up from 56k units. Volume gain was 12k units. Bajaj Pulsar’s sales fell to just below 65,000 units with a 13.86 percent drop in sales. Sales fell from 75,421 units. The volume loss was 10,455 units.

The decline in sales of TVS XL 100 is strongest in the top 10 of two-wheelers. The sales decline is reported at 44.27 percent, down from 33,395 units. Sales fell from 59,923 units. Hero Glamor’s sales growth was the highest in the top order list. Year-over-year base sales were low at 19,238 units. In December 2021, this number has increased to 31,595 units. Volume gain was 12,357 units on a volume gain of 64.23 percent. Suzuki and Yamaha left no traces last month.
