Top 5 Popular Launches of 2021: Jawa 42, Yamaha FZ and more!

With 2022 just around the corner, we’re looking back at this year’s top launches based on the opinions they got on Bikewale. The list includes the Jawa 42 version 2.1, 2021 Yamaha FZ series and the Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6. Check out the full list of the top five launches in India.

New Jawa 42 version 2.1

At the top of the list is the latest version of the Jawa 42. The updated model, dubbed as the 42 version 2.1, was launched in the Indian market at an ex-showroom price of Rs 1.84 lakh. This variant of the 42 received several upgrades from version 2.0. The changes include the addition of tubeless tire compatible alloy wheels. This model also received a black finish on the engine, exhaust bushings, front fork covers and rear springs. Other changes included an offset racing stripe and a revision of the seat fabric. 2021 Yamaha FZ FIFZS FI

India Yamaha Motor launched the 2021 FZ FI and the FZS FI in our market for Rs 1,03,700 and Rs 1,07,200 (ex-showroom, Delhi) respectively. The new FZ FI models were launched in two colours: Racing Blue and Metallic Black. The FZS FI, on the other hand, received five paint options: Matte Red (new), Dark Matte Blue, Matte Black, Dark Knight and Vintage Edition. 2021 Kawasaki Ninja 300 BS6

Kawasaki India launched its most affordable model, the Ninja 300, at an ex-showroom price of Rs 3.18 lakh, making it about Rs 20,000 more expensive than its predecessor. The Indian branch of the Japanese manufacturer had discontinued the BS4 Ninja 300 in December 2019. The bike did not receive a design overhaul during the BS6 transition. The mechanical specs retained the 296cc, parallel-twin, liquid-cooled engine which, despite meeting the latest emissions standards, continued to deliver 38.4 hp and 27 Nm. Read the full report here

New TVS Raider 125

TVS Motor Company’s new 125cc sports commuter motorcycle, the Raider 125, was launched in India with prices starting at Rs 77,500 (ex-showroom). The bike is available in four colors: Fiery Yellow, Striking Red, Blazing Blue and Wicked Black. This sporty commuter gets a full LED headlight, muscular fuel tank, hood and split seats. Specs include a 124.8 cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that produces 11.2 hp and 11.2 Nm. More details are available here

New Honda CB350RS

Honda 2Wheeler India’s CB350RS is the premium variant of the CB350 series that rivals the Royal Enfield Classic 350, the Meteor 350 and the Benelli Imperiale 400. The bike has contemporary styling and packs features such as full-LED lighting, a semi- digital instrument panel, Y-shaped alloy wheels, wide tires, fork guards and a skid plate. The 350cc air-cooled single-cylinder engine of the CB350RS delivers 20.7 hp at 5,500 rpm and maximum torque of 30 Nm at 3,000 rpm. Read the full report here
