† TVS Sherco Dakar 2022 rally bike unveiled
– Based on Enduro 450 SEF Factory
– Full reveal on December 28th
TVS Motor Company has been collaborating with French motorcycle manufacturer Sherco for several years to participate in the Dakar Rally. In the 2021 iteration of the rally, the team finished sixth. So to take it up a notch, TVS Sherco has unveiled their all-new Dakar 2022 machine, the Sherco 450 SEF Rally.
The bike is based on the Enduro 450 SEF Factory, three of which have been custom-built for Rally use. Driving these bikes would be Lorenzo Santolino, Rui Goncalves and Harith Noah. Now the team has chosen to keep their mouths shut until December 28, when more details about the bike will come out.
Although for now we can expect it to use the same semi-perimeter molybdenum steel frame as the Enduro 450. Even the 450cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine will be kept, but with a different state of tuning. As for the exterior, it remains blue and striking yellow and a lot of decals from sponsors such as Motul and Akrapovic. Then there’s the up-top fairing for the rally bike look.
The TVS Sherco Rally bike also comes with several components. While the stock Enduro gets SEF KYB suspension, the Rally machine has BOS MAC race units. It also gets an Akrapovic racing exhaust system. As we mentioned before, details of the bike are scarce, but it will only be a week before everything is revealed. Stay tuned!
